Another successful Brass on the Grass

Our annual fund-raising event, Brass on the Grass, has been hosted on the grounds of the Hall Precinct for the past 15 years. The event features a wonderful concert by the various bands that make up Canberra Brass.

All this wonderful music started about 42 years ago with the establishment of a brass band in Hall. The idea grew and grew and Canberra Brass is now identified as an ACT Treasure, performing far and wide.

This year the Men's Shed not only sold their sausages, they displayed and sold some of their wonderful timber products (trays, coasters, chopping boards), the Heritage Centre volunteers made sure the grass was mown to perfection and others cooked up a storm and made sure everyone had lots of culinary options.
