The Charnwood Water Metre Upgrade Project has now been completed. The historical artwork provided by the Hall Heritage Centre has been installed and has already attracted very positive feedback from the community.
A QR code has been installed on all four sides of the cabinet and links directly to the Hall Heritage Centre website. This will help visitors access additional information and learn more about the rich local history represented in the display.
The upgraded cabinet is located at the Charnwood District Playing Fields, off Lhotsky Street, Charnwood.
The combination of information and photographs from Hall Heritage Centre and the ACT Government Heritage Unit (CED), has enabled the to delivery of artwork that reflects Charnwood's history and its connection to the early years of Canberra's settlement. The project incorporates elements of the ACT Government's Canberra Tracks heritage interpretation program, helping to connect the site to the broader historical stories and places that have shaped the ACT.
