On Wednesday 24th June we hosted a group of visitors who were in Canberra with their partners for the National Local Government three day conference.

A tour of the Hall village was organised for the group and after they visited the galleries at Hall Heritage Centre they meandered down Victoria Street to enjoy lunch at the local restaurant - 1882 HALL.

They were a most engaged group, interested in our local history, our education program for young students and generally taking a stroll 'down memory lane, identifying with many of the artefacts on display.

Many of the visitors noted that the centre was very different to many small regional museums. Whilst we have a lot to show visitors, our displays are themed and tell a meaningful story from bygone eras.
