Yass U3A group visit the centre
26 March 2026
Hall Heritage Centre volunteers hosted a very animated group on Thursday 26th from Yass University of the Third Age (U3A).
The visitors are members of the Australian History course and were keen to hear our stories about the families who settled this area of the Limestone Plains.
Peter Browning didn't disappoint, with a wonderful narrative about the Palmers, Campbells & Murrays who were some of the more prominent families who settled from the 1820s.
Volunteers also took members on a tour of our many display areas including our 1911 bush school, Stones that Speak our exhibition of local Indigenous archaeology and our main exhibitions featuring Ginninderra, Hall village and the Gillespie Collection.
