Over the past few months, students from the ANU have been beavering away with their unit leader, Isa Menzies, to develop an exhibition for public display.

The students involved in this project are completing a postgraduate course offered by the
Research School of Humanities and the Arts at ANU called: EXHIBITION DESIGN AND DELIVERY

The course focuses on the process of exhibitions design within the context of museums, cultural collecting institutions and heritage agencies. It examines contemporary innovative exhibitions and their designs, technologies, audience development, project management and stakeholder consultation.

The studies come under the banner of the Centre for Heritage and Museum Studies, and the Centre's Director, Professor Mathew Trinca Talanin, was there to welcome visitors on Friday evening, 5th June and open the exhibition - VOICES FROM THE SCHOOLHOUSE - fighting for the future of our past.

Phil Robson spoke on behalf of the Hall Heritage Centre about what the volunteers at the centre are aiming to achieve - the preservation and presentation of the stories emanating from the Ginninderra Creek catchment area.

The exhibition will be on display until June 28th, when it will be dismantled and moved to our premises for display.
