An oral history project recording the memories and stories of Hall residents and the descendants of the early settlers of the district has been completed.
Those interviewed were: Bessie Bardwell, Kingsley Southwell, Wes and Elizabeth Kilby, John Thompson, Tony Morris and Tom Pender. An earler interview of Greg and Marjorie Rule was also added to the project due to Greg's passing this year.
The interviews have provided a wealth of history about early life in the district and particularly the memories of Hall life as it was in the early to mid 20th century.
The project was funded by the Australian Government's Department of the Environment through the 'Your Community Heritage' program and the Village of Hall & District Progress Association.
The recordings which are in the process of being edited and transcribed will be available at the Hall School Museum in hard copy and digitally. They will also be linked from this website.
