Minister Rebecca Vassarotti visited the Centre on 25 July to launch the latest in a series of Heritage Tour booklets - this one a Heritage Tour of Hall. The booklets have been funded by the ACT Government, and produced by the National Trust (ACT).The project has been managed by Mark Butz.

The Hall booklet has been largely researched and written by volunteers at the Hall Heritage Centre. Others in the series include Dairy Flat, Kingston, East Lake and Campbell-Kingston. Information about them can be found here.

The Hall booklet of twenty four pages, ten illustrations and a coloured centrefold map of the village and surrounds, is available from the Centre. While it is bound to be of general interest to local community members, and visitors to the village, it may be of special interest to walking groups.

The launch attracted a large gathering, filling the Centre's main gallery space. Amongst those present were many especially invited because of their continuing association with one or other of the twenty four heritage places featuring in the booklet. Mark Stockall, great great great grandson of Henry Hall of the Charnwood estate was one of these. There is at least six Hall homes in the list of all heritage places.

Mark Butz gave a short overview of the overall project, which will result in freshly created booklets for ten Heritage tours around Canberra. The Hall booklet builds on three or four previous versions, with the twenty four heritage places identified on a centre-spread map of Hall and surrounds. Mark was very complimentary of the Centre's contribution, which included researching, writing, and supply of photos. The Minister was also highly complimentary of the Centre, and spoke of the great value in making available short, well informed information about Canberra's heritage.
