Hosting ANU students
12 March 2023
Dr Anna Edmundson and a group of fifteen graduate student in Museum and Heritage studies visited on 9 March as part of a course on 'Exhibition design and delivery'. Student are required to selected a project from the Centre's collections which will give them practice inspects of designing and implementing displays and exhibitions. The results of their projects will be presented to the Centre and we will be free to adopt them if we wish.
At the beginning of the three hour visit Ken Heffernan, Allen Mawer, Peter Browning and Alastair Crombie gave short presentations on the many different areas of the Centre's work before leading groups to have a close look at our wide-ranging displays. As always, it was interesting and helpful to hear their reflections on what they had seen. Now we look forward to helping them with the projects that they select.
One member of a similar ANU Class group that visited last year has completed a volunteer project with us, and may soon be working with us as a project officer with the task of curating our bush schools collection.
