An eye-catching Rolls Royce convertible on playground duty
Yesterday the Museum hosted a visit by about 40 members of the Southern Tablelands Heritage Automotive Restorers Club. Phil introduced the museum, and Ken gave a brief talk on 'Eight Points of Similarity between Aboriginal Stone Artefacts and Heritage Cars'. Heather, Marion and Alf made sure signage was clear, hot beverages were available and our stalls were open for business. Peter and Ann Toet then entertained the visitors at a BBQ lunch.
This was a great start to a busy Sunday. Amongst later visitors were Colin Parkin and his wife Christine. Colin is a great-grandson of William Ralph McCarthy of 'Glenwood Station', and for a time also owner of 'Charnwood'.
